About

I am a Registered Nurse of 54 years, a daughter, mom, wife, sister, aunt, Grammy, friend, mentor, educator, volunteer, lifelong learner, head family cheerleader and affirmation-supplier, prayer chaplain, caregiver and a beautiful child of God!

I’ve worked in many roles as an RN – ICU, Pediatrics, Emergency Dept., Hospital Administrative Supervisor, Patient Education, Staff Education, but my favorite and longest role was in school health in the Denton ISD, first as a high school nurse for 10 years, then as the Director of Health, Wellness and Safety for 13 years. In April 2024, the district honored me by naming a new employee wellness building after me, a place where DISD employees and their families can receive low-cost high-quality health care. Being of service is very important to me, and all of these life roles and relationships have brought me to savoring each minute of my existence, of understanding the importance of connection and love, of staying in the present, fully appreciating life, and knowing the Infinite Source, God, is always with me, in me, and acting through me.

DSCF0429Being open to Spirit moving within me, I am always reading and learning, seeking a higher consciousness, knowing deeply in my whole being that God is all there is! It is an ongoing process, and  the self-discovery and personal spiritual growth that I’ve experienced have been life-altering, incredibly beneficial.   Raised Catholic, I was given a valuable faith foundation by my parents from which to expand.  I still consider myself catholic, albeit more now with a “small c,” as the word means “universal” – certainly what I believe God to be.  I know that God is bigger than any one religion, and that no faith tradition owns God, even though many seem to claim that they do! The universal truths I’ve discovered in the Unity faith tradition have led me deeper into my soul, bringing me to higher levels of consciousness, and allowing me to more fully understand that we are all one.

And I grow…
